Palm & Salt

An out-of-the-box, white-label digital experience for wellness and med spas: marketing, ecommerce, self-service booking, subscriptions, and an AI assistant that builds personalized wellness plans you can add to cart or turn into a subscription.

The problem

Spas run their operations on a patchwork of disconnected systems: booking software, POS, product inventory, membership management, and marketing tools. Staff lose hours to manual data entry between them, and customers get a fragmented digital experience that feels nothing like the calm, considered atmosphere of the spa itself.

What we're building

Drawing on our experience delivering operational solutions in the wellness space, we set out to build an out-of-the-box, white-label platform that covers the full spa operation: marketing, merchandising, ecommerce, a self-service booking engine, subscriptions, and an AI assistant that builds a personalized wellness plan from the spa's own menu of treatments and products, which guests can add to cart or convert into a subscription in a single step.

The guiding principle: when a customer interacts with the spa in the digital world, the experience should feel connected to what the spa is like in person.

Where it stands

The current version is a working prototype that demonstrates the experience, including a functioning AI wellness-plan assistant. You can try it at https://scottsdale-spa-solutions.vercel.app using the password scottsdale2026 and following the prompts. We're actively building toward the full platform, with general availability planned for August 2026.

Self-service booking engine
Guests book treatments themselves with real-time availability and automated reminders.

White-label & connected experience
An out-of-the-box, branded experience designed so the digital spa feels like the real one.
Process
How we built it
1
Applied wellness domain experience
Built on prior work delivering operational solutions for wellness businesses, mapping the workflows that generic software gets wrong.
2
Defined the full platform scope
Marketing, merchandising, ecommerce, a self-service booking engine, subscriptions, and an AI wellness assistant, designed to ship as one out-of-the-box, white-label package.
3
Built the experience prototype
A working demo that shows how the connected digital experience looks and feels, mirroring the in-person atmosphere of the spa.
4
Built the AI wellness-plan assistant
A prototype assistant that composes a personalized plan from the spa's own treatment and product menu, then lets guests add it to cart or turn it into a subscription. Live demo at scottsdale-spa-solutions.vercel.app (password: scottsdale2026).
5
Re-platformed for reach and SEO
Moved to Next.js to serve SEO-friendly HTML and maximize discoverability for spa storefronts.
6
Scaling to the white-label platform
Building out the multi-tenant framework for general availability in August 2026.
Reflections
What we took away from this project.
What went wrong
For SEO reasons we had to move off our existing code stack and switch to Next.js. It's more complex to work in, but it was the right compromise. It brings reach and SEO-friendly HTML together in a way our previous stack couldn't.
What went right
This was the first time we let AI handle the design, and the result came out far nicer than we expected, polished enough to anchor the whole prototype.
What we learned
A chatbot can do far more than answer questions. Done well, it takes orders, captures leads, adds items to cart, and handles virtually anything a visitor can imagine, turning a support tool into a real revenue and conversion engine.
